Directions

The City of Fernandina Beach is located on beautiful Amelia Island, on Florida's northeastern shore, just 15 miles east of Interstate 95, and a short, 30-minute drive from Jacksonville International Airport. There are two bridges connecting the island with the mainland, making access a breeze. Fernandina Beach is just under 12 square miles, making exploration simple and easy.

By Land

From the south

  • A1A north to J. Turner Butler Boulevard, then north on 115 over the Dames Point Bridge. Continue on A1A north over Big and Little Talbot Island onto Amelia Island

  • A1A north of Jacksonville to the Mayport auto ferry, which travels the St. Johns River, then continue on A1A north over Big and Little Talbot Island onto Amelia Island. Mayport ferry schedule

From I-95

  • Take I-95 to Exit 373, turn east onto A1A, travel 15 miles crossing the Intracoastal Waterway onto Amelia Island.
