Dear Fernandina Beach Resident,
Effective January 15, 2024, your trash collection is changing to
once-a-week collection. The monthly fee will be $27.68 for a single
family home. At the beginning of January, you will
receive an informational brochure attached to your trash cart.
Your NEW collection day will be included in the brochure.
Your recycling day will not change.
Bulk waste will continue to be collected on Wednesdays,
and WM will collect up-to 3 cubic yards each week.
Proper cart placement for automated collection -
remember to place your carts at least 3 feet apart and 3 feet
away from any obstacles (trees, cars, mailboxes, etc.) to allow
the automatic arm to lift and empty the carts. Place wheels
